Some animation purists say that computer animation, like that of Pixar, is cold and too rendered. Some modern animators believe that hand animation is dead because it is too time-consuming and labour-intensive. Well, I'm an old fashioned guy when it comes to animated movies. What's better than the Lion King, one of the best animated movies of all time. I think those types of movies are so successful because of the sense of effort put into them. I think every artist can relate to the fact that you feel a connection with all of your art that you just can't get with "modern animation". However, the animation that we experience now is visually stunning which is what makes modern animated movies great to watch. But it isn't only the quality of the animation that makes modern movies good, but the storylines that the writers are able to make because of the high quality of animation.
